Bitter Sweet

The bitter liquid gushed through my throat

I had thrown myself to the unknown,

I descended rapidly into a chasm of infinity,

And shut out all the reality.

I wanted to dream again, to feel alive,

I wanted not only to survive,

I wanted to be free and happy,

By losing myself into a silent sleep.

I believed in a life that I never lived

I wanted to reach out to the sky, and fall on my knees,

I was too timid to test my limits,

But for once, on my way up, I dared to touch a star.
